Aliso Viejo Community Association and PCM Teams Up for Relay for Life

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., July 23, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Professional Community Management of California, Inc. (PCM) announced today that staff and members of the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) will take part in the annual Aliso Viejo Relay for Life.

“The PCM team is always ready to demonstrate their dedication and commitment to Aliso Viejo,” said Donny Disbro, chief executive officer of PCM. “We’re thrilled to be part of this event that brings people together in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.”

“Participating in the Relay for Life is one more way in which they contribute to the community,” said current Association President Bill Conley. “PCM’s support and willingness to join in this effort speaks highly of their desire to join in and be part of Aliso Viejo’s close knit family.”

The AVCA/PCM team will join former Association President Ross Chun and Eco-Stride on July 28 and July 29, 2012 to help raise money to fight cancer and preserve the environment. The event will take place at Grand Park located at Grand Avenue and City Lights Drive in Aliso Viejo, CA. For more information, please visit http://www.relayforlife.org/.

In addition to PCM and AVCA, Eco-Stride LLC works with community partners such as The Surfrider Foundation, Transition Aliso Viejo, Savannah’s Organic Ranch, The Laguna Canyon Foundation, Aliso Viejo Patch and Cox Communications to make the Aliso Viejo Relay For Life a more sustainable event. This year, Eco-Stride created the Eco-Stride Hydration Station, a booth at the event where attendees and participants can fill reusable water bottles donated by Aliso Viejo Patch, instead of bringing single-use plastic bottles to Grand Park.

All year long, community events spread awareness, support worthy causes, and unfortunately, create unnecessary plastic waste. Eco-Stride and its community partners urge Relay For Life participants to Keep Plastic Out Of The Park, and fill their water bottles at the Eco-Stride Hydration Station.

“I have participated in the Aliso Viejo Relay For Life for many years, but this year is particularly significant, because this year my family has been touched by this terrible disease,” said Ross Chun, Founder and CEO of Eco-Stride. “This year, we’re walking for my sister-in-law Teresa, and we’re working to keep plastics out of the environment by refilling water bottles for everyone who participates.”
