Sher Institute Donating Free IVF Cycles at Upcoming Seminars

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine (SIRM) is donating free In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments at upcoming seminars in New Jersey, Texas and Pennsylvania. The initiative reflects Sher Institute’s desire to help patients who are in need of treatment but can’t afford it during these tough economic times. Sher Institute plans to roll out the free cycle program to all of the SIRM centers around the country.

“Given the economic challenges many families are facing, my SIRM colleagues and I are struck by the number of men and women who come to see us seeking treatment only to learn that the cost is beyond their reach,” SIRM Founder and Executive Medical Director Geoffrey Sher, M.D. said. “This is our way of doing what we can to help.”

One couple or single person at each seminar will be awarded a free IVF cycle. To be eligible to win, entrant must be present at one of the seminars and have a medical diagnosis indicating IVF as a recommended course of treatment. The drawings will be held during the seminars on March 25th in Clinton, NJ, March 27th in Easton, PA and March 28th, 2010 in Dallas.

On average, an IVF cycle costs about $10,000. This does not include any additional procedures, third-party services or medications.

For more information and online registration for the seminars, visit the Sher Institute Web site at www.haveababy.com .

For those in attendance who do not win the free cycle, the seminar affords them the opportunity to learn more about the field of reproductive medicine, the latest advancements and what their treatment options are.

Helping patients gain access to treatment has long been a driving philosophy of Dr. Sher. During the last three decades, Dr. Sher and Sher Institute have donated hundreds of free cycles to patients and couples from all over the country.
